The coming of the Coronavirus in the world has changed the life expectancy of families in Zambia. Luyando Foundation Zambia`s team of volunteers were not spared from the outcome of the pandemic. Luyando Foundation planned programs and activities were sometimes put on hold or postponed due to the strict health guideline from the Ministry of Health in Zambia and Covid19 health regulations.
Due to Covid19 and the health guideline from the Ministry of Health in Zambia, Luyando Foundation women’s group programs and activities were sometimes put on hold or postponed. However, the women’s group could manage to conduct home visitation to the children and their families infected with HIV/AIDS. Currently, the Foundation is implementing home visitation for 7 old aged and 31 Children living with HIV and AIDS.
Lack of enough food was and is a serious major challenge for Luyando Foundation children and their families on HIV/AIDS medication. Thanks to an extra gift of 60 euros from a donor in the UK, Luyando Foundation could purchase Mealie Meals for vulnerable families.
It is an ongoing appeal to the donors, well-wishers, friends and families who wish to contribute at least 2.50 euros every month or quarterly to purchase food for their families on medication to boost their immune system and well being.
