ANBI STATUS
In 2012 the Luyando Foundation was awarded the ANBI status: with this ANBI status gifts from private donors can be deducted against income tax. According to the Belastingdienst (Dutch tax service) a foundation also known in the Netherlands as “stitchting” is a legal non-governmental entity which primarily has an altruistic or supportive objective in contrast to commercial objective.
